What we can help with

• A calculator result that looks wrong. Send the numbers you entered and the answer you expected. We rerun them, check the arithmetic, and tell you what we find.
• A rule one of our guides explains. We answer with the regulation or the FMCSA guidance behind it, so you can read the source yourself.
• Corrections. A rule that has changed, a figure that is out of date, a broken link, or a sentence that is simply wrong. See the corrections policy below.
• Requests for a tool or a guide. Our agricultural exemption guide exists because a reader asked for it.
• Your details. To have us delete the details you gave us through any form on this site, email us and we will delete what we hold about you. We cannot recall details we have already sent to a factoring company at your request, so to have them deleted there, contact that company directly. The privacy policy lists what each form stores.

What we cannot do

We are not a law firm, a tax preparer, a carrier, a broker or a factoring company, and we have no affiliation with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We cannot tell you whether a specific log is compliant, review your ELD records, prepare or file an IFTA return, or quote you a factoring rate. For those, go to your carrier, the regulation itself, your base jurisdiction, or a licensed professional.

How quickly we reply

We aim to reply within two business days. A report that a rule or a calculation is wrong goes to the front of the line, because other drivers are reading the same page.

Corrections policy

Every free guide and calculator on this site shows the date it was last reviewed, and the rules pages list the primary sources they rest on: the eCFR text of 49 CFR Part 395, FMCSA guidance, and the IFTA governing documents. When you report an error, we check it against that source. If the page is wrong, we correct it, update its review date, and reply to tell you what changed. If the page is right, we reply with the section that supports it. We do not change what a page says, or what a calculator computes, because an advertiser or a referral partner asks us to.

Advertising and partnerships

The site is paid for by display advertising and by referral arrangements, which are disclosed wherever they appear and explained on the about page. Advertising and partnership questions go to the same address.
